John Cecil Kelly-Rogers (February 8, 1905 - Jan 29, 1981, age 75) 〔Louis McRedmond. Modern Irish lives: dictionary of 20th-century Irish biography - Volume 1996, Part 2 Page 156〕 was an aviator who flew Winston Churchill to wartime meetings. ==Early Years== John Cecil Kelly-Rogers was the second child of Theodore and Violet Elizabeth Kelly-Rogers. Theodore was a sea captain. John trained as a cadet on the frigate, HMS Conway, sailing out of the River Mersey. At 19, a qualified second mate, he went into service on long haul liner routes from England to Australia.
